Appearance – Nim is a solidly built Terran. He stands about 6', and weighs a little under 200 pounds. His frame is lithe and well muscled, giving him an attractive physical appeal. His skin is a dusty tan color, with stony plates of darker brown skin along his arms and across his brow. His hair is black, and just long enough to lay flat against his head. His eyes are entirely the color of onyx, reflecting deep within their black depths. He wears a twisted bronze torc around each bicep. From his raising in the desert, Nim prefers light clothing. His preferred clothing is a long, silken robe, roughly olive green in color that he ties up with a bronze robe pin. Though not much of one for wearing shoes at all, if he is going on long travels, he will wear a pair of simple sandals. His body is kept relatively unblemished, save for the pebbly patches of skin that naturally have formed.
Personality – Nim is a stoic soul. Not overly-quick to react, he tends to have a very defensive style to him, especially when it comes to fighting. Nim takes his magics very seriously, and has become rather engulfed with the idea of the natural flow of the energy of magic. Nim lives by a motto similar to the old adage of 'The best offense is a good defense' when it comes to him and his magics. In the brief studies that he has done so far, he has taken a liking to spells that replicate the violent dust storms of the desert, and using those spells to help build a better defense around himself. While not cold, nor truly introverted, Nim does not actively seek to gain friendships, he does, however, seek to gain knowledge, and in such, he finds other casters to be great pools of that knowledge, and in turn, he generally gains a form of friendship with them. Mages from other branches of magic have a lot to offer Nim about how the other magics function, and other users of Green magic can be used to expand his repertoire of the magic. His distant manner, and slightly hardened and callous exterior may be off-putting for many, though in truth, he does still have a kind heart, even though he may be too focused on his studies of magic for it to be too noticeable.
History – Nim was born in the Tyla desert of a pair of nomadic Terrans, who, along with a number of other Planetarii families had taken up residence in the desert for some time. He was raised near Ashair in the desert sands. From a young age, Nim displayed a natural talent, as many Terrans do, for green magic. However, Nim's magics seemed more fit for the desert, than the talents with poisons and other noxious substances that many Green mages tamper with. Growing up, Nim grew deeply obsessed with the magic, and became detached from most of the rest of the world, working only on bettering himself in the magics. Having grown up in the vast openness of the Desert, Nim had never heard of the Malche academy until a young Caerhamian mage wandered through the part of the desert that the group of Planetarii had set up as their current home. The mage had recently dropped out of the academy due to the difficulty of the classes (A fact that Nim never learned being that the young mage was really just too lazy to care.). Having heard of the challenge in schooling for the Magics, Nim immediately packed his belongings, knowing that he must go forth to the academy so he could learn the art of magic under masters and further glorify himself as a power mage of Green Magics.
